Dear pipers,

This forum has recently been under heavy attack from spam robots. Hopefully you have not noticed most of it, but Jerry and I (Jerry in particular) have had to work hard keeping the forum clean lately. We get a great number of new registered spam users every day. Most of them we detect and remove before they even write their spams, but it is getting tiresome.

So, we have to enforce a stricter policy to ensure that you, the users of this forum, really are a) human and b) here for the right reasons. Yes, bagpipers count as humans. Even Scottish ones.

If you have written one or more relevant posts here you are safe.

You are also safe if you have used the "Interests" field in the user profile to indicate interests that are related to this forum. But I encourage you to at least write a post to the "Presentation Thread". That way you will be safe also in the first sense.

If, for some reason, you don't want to do either of the above, you can also send either Jerry or me an Email to convince us that you're real.

All other users are eligible for deletion, without notice. That is to say, unknown (to Jerry and me) users who have not contributed to any discussion and have no relevant "Interests" in their profile.

We're sorry if this is inconvenient to you, but I hope that most of you agree that the forum will benefit from this.
