It was announced today that Anton Olausson will receive the Zorn silver medal for his säckpipa playing and thereby the right to the title Riksspelman (piper of the realm). Anton is the youngest piper yet to receive the honor (he's 23 - I hadnt' even started playing the pipes when I was his age!).

Anton is the eighth piper to receive the medal, efter Bengt Sundberg and Anders Norudde (1989), Erik Ask-Upmark (2004), Anna Rynefors (2005), Olle Gällmo (2008), and Alban Faust and Ulf Karlsson (2009).
