Thanks for the Podcast Jan! I really enjoyed it.
I agree. It is about time. Congratulations Olle!
Your efforts as a musician and educator on the Swedish Bagpipe really deserve some recognition. I can't think of anyone else who has created such an encyclopedic website on a subject like that without asking for a penny.
A lot of pipers on this forum owe their knowledge to you! _________________ Aaron |

Congratulations to Olle! Aaron is absolutely right about his absolute value and true contribution to fellow pipers. |

I was there in Delsbo, and I have touched the silver medal and was the first to play with Olle after he recived the silver badge
There is three degrees of the Zorn badge (medals). Bronse, Silver and Gold badges. The two first you can get after succesfully playing in front of a Zorn commity. Last you get for good work in the swedish folk music community.
Player given the Zorn badge in Silver is also called "Riksspelman", which is as god you can get in Sweden from own playing in folkmusic.
There is five Riksspelmän in Svensk säckpipa.
Bengt Sundberg (1989)
Anders Norudde (1989)
Erik Ask-Upmark (2004)
Anna Rynefors (2005)
Olle Gällmo (2008)
And you could argue that Per Gudmundsson is the only with Gold badge. Though he is Riksspelman in Fiddle, he got it for fiddling and playing bagpipes.

And yes, don't forget to buy his CD, it is good! _________________ No MSN or ICQ. Only Jabber at <xmpp:anders.jackson@gmail.com>

Thanks for the Podcast. I enjoyed it a lot.
Now I'm going to have to order the cd... _________________ "At the threshold of every day and night,
