pearl glue is used by carpenters, when repairing furniture. It is made from animal bone, I believe since another name for it in Swedish is "benlim" (= "bone glue"). _________________ Info on Swedish bagpipes at http://olle.gallmo.se/sackpipa

Thanks Olle, I know someone who's repairing old furniture, he's using the glue. He's certainly know the french and flemish name for the glue. |

THanks, merci.
Olle, I made the receipt from Frans Hattink that I found on a trad music french forum(thx Nic) with no pearl glue but with gelatine. It's working fine and smells good as well ! |

It just might melt in long, hot playing conditions a bit too readily. I found that mine (made with glue, not gelatine) tends to start a couple of small leaks when I play for long in hot weather. (The leaks are from the seam, from a couple of streched holes left from the stitching) |

_________________ Vigxf |
